Saint Mark the Evangelist

St. Mark the Apostle Evangelist is the Writer of the Gospel of Mark, founder of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the first Pope of Alexandria and one of the seventy apostles, and his symbol is the winged lion.

He was one of the four who preached the world by the Gospels they wrote, and The world still benefits from the books without limitation. They were meant for all the world and not for one particular church.

St Mark is A Jew With A Gentile Character:

St. Mark was a Jew from the Levite Tribe , he preached both Jews and Gentiles, but mainly among the gentiles.
He had two names, "John", is the Jewish name and "Mark", is the gentile one. Mark became his distinctive name. (St Mark names)
He was born a Jew in Africa, thus he is an African born Apostle. His birthplace was in Gyréne, one of the Five Western Cities in Libya, in a small village called Aberyatolos.
